Q. Is firmware update same as Rooting?

A . No, firmware is what is on your tablet such as operating system -  rooting gives you "root" access to files located in firmware.

Q. So, if i update my firmware what will happen to my tablet?

A. If you update with a factory firmware, then nothing. It is very likely that your tablet already has the most up to date version operating system when shipped

Q. What if I update my my firmware using a downloads from this site.

A. The firmware available on this site was developed by a group of guys with the sole purpose of making your tablet better. The modification is not a complete overhaul, but simply tweaking the existing install to get the very best performance.
